A 3-day tour includes a visit to Guatemala’s three largest archaeological sites, outstanding destinations surrounded by rainforests that inhabit a significant amount of flora and fauna representative of the tropics.
This archaeological tour begins with a visit to Tikal, declared in 1979 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Learn about archaeology and enjoy the landscape from the top of the pyramids; Being an open-air natural laboratory, you can enjoy encounters with the local fauna.
On day 2, you will visit El Mirador. This adventure begins with a scenic trip aboard a helicopter from where you can appreciate the landscape of Petén that includes the Island of Flores, Lake Petén Itzá, and Tropical Rainforest.
Then you will land at the archaeological park to begin the guided tour of the site.
On day 3, explore with the help of our guide the archaeological site of Yaxha, the third-largest after Tikal and El Mirador.
Here you can enjoy the tropical landscape, the architecture and the rainforest.

Itinerary
Day 1: Tikal One Day Tour:
8:00 am Meet and greet the tour guide and driver at Mundo Maya International Airport, at the Belize border, or your hotel.
Then we will travel to the Tikal National Park; Upon arrival, you will introduce Tikal and our adventure through the archaeological site.
After an initial presentation, we will continue our excursion, passing through the most famous squares and buildings in Tikal.
The complex of the twin pyramids, the central plaza includes the main Acropolis, south and north, the great Jaguar Temple and Temple II.
After a description of the historical past of Tikal and the particular events through the occupation of this exceptional archaeological site, you will have time to climb some temples and also to take pictures.
Day 2: El Mirador Helicopter Tour:
An exceptional helicopter tour will move through the ancient Mayan jungle in search of El Mirador, a natural treasure proposed as a UNESCO cultural and natural heritage, based on its natural and archaeological value as the most significant city in the Mayan world.
Our guide will take you on a journey through history, visiting the El Tigre complex, Grupo Los Monos, The Temple of the Jaguar’s Claw, which displays decorated masks.
Then you will visit the central Acropolis, where structure 313 shows five stages of the building. Finally, we will find test pieces of the canals that the Maya used to transport water on its back.
Inside this building, we can find a carved panel with the design of the twin brothers, Hunahpu and Ixbalanque, mythical creatures from the sacred book of the Mayans, the Popol Vuh. Finally, to conclude our Helicopter Adventure in El Mirador, we will visit the fantastic pyramid of “La Danta.”
Day 3: Yaxha One Day Tour:
At 8:00 am, pick you up at your hotel to start the journey of approximately 1:30 hours to the archaeological site of Yaxha.
Upon arrival, you will visit the North Acropolis, the Northeast Acropolis, the Maler group, the twin pyramid complex, the eastern Acropolis, and the tallest pyramid known as building 216, where it is possible to have a 360-degree view of the site and the lakes Sacnab and Yaxha respectively.
In addition to the cultural experience, this fantastic destination offers the opportunity to discover the local fauna, including howler and spider monkeys and tropical bird species.
After the tour, then we return to a local restaurant for lunch. After that, we will take a transfer back to your hotel, Mundo Maya international airport, or the Belize border.
